Tools For Your Web
Business
By Bob Pearcy
We want to give you tools and ideas both for weight loss/health and help to build your business or
help you get started in business. Most of the business tools I present to you will be ones that I use. Some may be
ones I like but don't need.
My Site Builder - XSitePro
The first tool I want to tell you about is XSitePro. This site is created with
XSitePro2 and I love it. The more I use it the more I like it. You can build a site in a fraction of the time it
takes with the so called Professional site builders such as Dreamweaver which costs $399.00 and takes a long time
to learn. I have Dreamweaver and never use it anymore.
My Web Host - Hostmonster
Next I want to tell you about hosting, that is where your website or blog resides
and where it is dispatched from. In other words if your host is no good then people can't get to your site. You
also have to work on your site through your host so you want it to be convient and trouble free. I have seven
sites hosted on Hostmonster and some other things too and can't recomend them enough. I will not recomend anything
on this site or any other that I don't use or would not use myself.
A note from XSitePro
Not only can including products help to build up the content on your
site it can also act as an additional revenue stream. Check to see if there is an affiliate scheme in operation for
each of the products you feature and, if so, sign-up for it and include an appropriate link (featuring your own
personal 'affiliate ID').
If you are featuring links off to a third-party product details
page, be sure to set your link properties so that the web page opens in a new window. Right click the
link here to check out the
property settings - the 'target' should be '_new'. This ensures that in viewing more information about the
recommended product(s) the visitor does not leave your site entirely - your site remains open behind the new
window.
Tip: If you are featuring links to, and/or recommendations of, particular companies'
products, don't be afraid to ask them for a 'reciprocal link'. This means that in return for your recommendation of
their product, they place a link back to your web site upon their own site. This is a crucial part of link-building
and can have a marked impact on your site's ranking in the search engines.
My most popular tools.
RoboForm is my most used program, it remembers all my passwords and login info for every
site and account I have.
